He was predeceased by: his parents, Mearil Jackson and Opal Marie Phillips (Tidwell); his wife Marietta Phillips (Stiehl); his siblings, Raymond Phillips, Loyd Phillips, Charles Phillips and Anna Mae Stovall; and his great grandchildren, Blaine and Emery Decuir.
He is survived by: his children, Donnie J Phillips, Jr. (Debbie) and Linda Gail Jones (Dale); his sisters, Doris Tousha and Joan Reynolds; and his great grandchildren, Case, Carson Decuir, Emily Hightower, Lane Kleimann and Sadie Roy.
