He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Thompson and Elaine Thompson; and his brothers, Dale Thompson, Douglas Thompson and Edward Thompson.

He is survived by: his son Damon Wade Thompson, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
