She was predeceased by: her parents, Benton G. Peters and Laura L. Peters (Gabbert); and her son Randy Cheek. She is survived by: her husband Carroll B. Cheek of Hilltop Lakes, Texas; her children, Steven K. Cheek of Waco, Texas, Sandra L. Guerrero of Teague, Christina Ross of Banner Elk and Rene Carol Harrell of Houston, Texas; and her sister Phyllis Waits Shinn of Edmond, Oklahoma.. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren.
