He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Strickland (Halbert); his children, Larry Strickland (Sharmon) of Hillsboro, Texas, Cathey Keefer (Marv) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Vickie Middleton (Frank) of Rockdale, Texas; his daughter-in-law Eva Strickland of Orange Grove, Texas; his grandchildren, Chelsey Strickland of Hillsboro, Texas, Chad Wallace of Norfolk, Greg Middleton (Shannon) of Cross Roads, Brent Marbut (Amanda) of Whitney, Billy Spencer of Porter, Robert Spencer of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sarah Vaughn (Michael) of Hillsboro and Andrea Henry of East Bernard, Texas; his great grandchildren, Cole Strickland, Taylor Vaughn, Toby Vaughn, Tucker Vaughn, Easton Marbut, Landry Marbut, Chloe Wallace, Tiernan Wallace, Miranda Henry and Hannah Middleton; his brother Leo Strickland of Arlington, Texas; and his sisters-in-law, Kitty, Barbara and Dorothy Strickland.
