It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam Houston of Hillsboro, Texas, who passed away on March 24, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sam Houston to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his sons, John Mark Houston, Paul Houston and Phillip Houston; and his wife Carol. He is survived by: his former wife Winnie Houston of Marshall; his daughters, Mandy Knuckols (Mike) and Rachel Born (Brandon); his stepchildren, Julie Morris and Matt Burger (Jessica); and his grandchildren, Colton Knuckols (Anna), Mallory Collier (Rusty), Taylor Houston, Brooke Kuykendall (Calvin), Brandi Mabry, Nikkalas, Jayla Morris and Joshlyn Burger. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
