He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Valarie; and his parents-in-law, Mickey and Theta. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Poteet; his brother Wayne Poteet (Juanita); his brother-in-law Ronnie Reese (Amanda); his children, Brandy Horinek (Tony), Trevor Crist (Miranda), Satara Whitney, Coleton Whitney (Samantha) and Mariah Hall (Joshua); his grandchildren, Addison, Collin, Bentley, Kaylee, Landon, Brayden, Braxton, Hunter, Kadence, Axel, Copen, Saige, Gracelyn, Gunner and Piper; and also Chris Poteet (CJ). He is also survived by three nephews; 2 nieces; 3 great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
