She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Bennett and Armenia Bennett (Biggs); her husband John Findley Brooks (Wimpy); and her son-in-law Ron Wood. She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Wood of Woodbury and Jeana Brooks of Aledo; her brother Gene Paul Waits of DeSoto; her grandson Chase Hill (Sheri) of Keller; and her great grandchildren, Finley, Ava and Harper Hill of Keller. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
