It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Bowery Ehlinger of Hillsboro, Texas, born in Krum, Texas, who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John William and Johnnie J. Bowery (Cofer); her son John Alvie "Johnny" Ehlinger; her siblings, Virginia Frances Bowery, Peggy Jean Evans Urban, John William "Dub" Bowery, Jr. and Clyde Cofer Bowery; and her grandson Ty Avery Ehlinger.
She is survived by: her husband Grover Frank Ehlinger; her daughter Dorothy "Dee" Ehlinger of Hillsboro; her grandchildren, John Alvie Ehlinger, Jr. of Houston, Michelle Desiree͊ McClain of Houston and James Ehlinger of Houston; and her great grandchildren, Madison Nicole Stover, J. Andrew Ehlinger, Julia Ehlinger, Bailey Ehlinger and Blake Ehlinger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
