He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Gonzalez and Mary Gonzalez (Flores); and his siblings, Marie Leyendecker, Elvira Gonzalez, Olivia Hernandez, Joe Gonzalez and Pete Gonzalez.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Gonzalez; his sons, Bennie Gonzalez, Jr. and Lee R. Gonzales; his sisters, Flora Hall and Juanita Flores; his stepchildren, Larry, Gary, Terry and Greg Moore; and his grandchildren, Miguel, Lee, Jr. and Jacob Gonzales. He is also survived by numerous other grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
