He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro S. Saenz and Antonia R. Saenz; and his sister Estella Garza. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Saenz; his children, Christina Solis Erica (Hilario Solis Jr.), Mark Saenz (Yolanda Saenz) and Joshua Saenz (Sarah Saenz); and his siblings, Alicia Cavazos (Pete Cavazos), Lucy Saenz Alvarado and Joseph R. Saenz. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
