He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Alfred Slayden and Ruby Jewell Slayden (Stephens); his brother Tommy Slayden; and his son Ferdinand Alfred Slayden, III. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Slayden of Crosby, TX; his son Chris (Michelle Slayden) of Elizabethtown, KY; his stepchildren, Rodney (Karri Soileau) of Huffman, TX and Anna (Chuck Reeves) of Houston, TX; and his grandchildren, Justin, Riley, Cameron Slayden, Cole Stahl, Zoey Soileau and Eda Soileau. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
