It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claud Kahla of High Island, Texas, born in Wharton, Texas, who passed away on May 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Rosser Kahla and Vernon Earl Kahla; his brothers, Earl Kahla and George Kahla; his sister-in-law Gwyn Kahla; and his grandson Douglas Wayne Sliger.
He is survived by: his wife Iris Joy Kahla; his brother Kyle Kahla (Ann); his daughters, Laura Kahla Polk (David) of Brazoria, Texas, Donna Kahla Sliger (Houston) of High Island, Texas and Debby Kahla of High Island, Texas; his grandchildren, Reanna Polk Gryseels (Tim) of Dardenne Prairies, Missouri, Kristen Harrington Watkins (Drew) of Prosper, Texas and Kelly Sliger McKenzie of Gustine, Texas; his granddaughter-in-law Rena Sliger of Hamilton, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Brenna Gryseels, Haden, Connor Watkins and Presley Sliger.
