She was predeceased by: her mother Vera Mae Scudder Reed; her son Michael Allen Dayton; her father Houston Reed; her siblings, Lewis Reed (Debbie), Donald Reed and Roberta Reed Petrie (Laurence Petrie); and her niece Cathy Rector.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Charles Dayton, MD; her son Brian Charles Dayton (Jennifer); her grandson Jack; her children, Sylvia Elaine Stidham (Bobby) and James Eric Dayton (Christy); her grandchildren, Ari and Sadie; her daughter Stephanie Gay Dayton (Jason Phillips); and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Reed and Harold Dayton.
