It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lynn Magee (Hico, Texas), born in Dublin, Texas, who passed away on November 23, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Terry Layne Magee; his grandson Jordon Layne Magee; his parents, Virgil Harvey Magee and Flynch Elizabeth Magee (Hanson); his stepfather Dewey Loy Smith; his siblings, Dewey Loy Smith, Jr. and Nita Decker Dansby; and his parents-in-law, William "Bill" and Hazel Salmon Head.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Gayle Head Magee of Clairette; his daughters, Linda Lowrey (Ron) of Clariette, Susan Latham of Keene and Karen Jackson of Rio Vista; his grandchildren, Cody Scott of Clairette, Cheryl Walker (Clay) of Weatherford, Randy Lowrey of Clairette, Chris Young (Ciara) of Huckabay, Kenneth Young (Tiffany) of Granbury, Hope Young of Rio Vista, Melody Jenkins (Kai) of West Texas, Terry Layne Magee Jr. of Cleburne, Justin Magee and Joanna Magee of Weatherford; his great grandchildren, Keenan Owens, Kaden Owens, Sampson Scott, Kolton Owens, Royce Scott, Aiden Young, Angel Lowrey and Gracey Lowrey; his sisters, Cindy Davis (Quirt) of Bedford, Kay Ingram (Larry) of Klondike and Ginger Hildebrand (Skip) of Euless; and his sister-in-law Janet Allen (Paul) of Chaska. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
