She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Jimmy" Monroe and Argroula "Argie" Caras Gustafson; and her husband Denny Proffitt. She is survived by: her brother Jay Monroe Gustafson (Vicki) of Mansfield; her children, Rod Proffitt (April) of Stephenville, Doug Proffitt (Jill) of Belton, Cole Proffitt (Rita) of Iredell, Sandy Proffitt Pyburn (Jerry) of Iredell and Denise Glab (Wally) of Lubbock; and her grandchildren, Summer Langford of Stephenville, Angela Conatser of Odessa, Rebekah Proffitt of Princeton, Misti Thompson of Graham, Stacey McVicar of Belleville, Justin Proffitt of Burleson, Jacob Fletcher of Waco, Garett Fletcher of Ohio, Brayden Fletcher of Cresson, Wendy Oldham of Belton, Ember Ristau of Austin, Nick Heutzenroeder of Iredell, Melisa Penwell of Iredell and Elizabeth Villarreal of Troy. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (215 S Mulberry St, Eastland, TX 76448).
