He was predeceased by: his former wife Telesha Heifner. He is survived by: his parents, Dave Allyn Heifner (Sheri Heifner) and Linda Gayle Phillips (Terry Brown); his wife Rene Heifner; his children, Connie Gayle Heifner, Erica Jean Heifner, Skylar Rene Arehart and Taylor William Arehart; and his siblings, Bryan Heifner, Bobby Heifner, Quincy Heifner and Asia Coleman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Through his organ donation, William has benefited the lives of three people.
