With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sherry McNiel of Hewitt, Texas, who passed away on May 16, 2021 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Bobby Merkel. She is survived by: her mother Doris Davis; her husband Ronnie McNiel; her son Spencer McNiel (Tonya Kitts); her grandchildren, Mallory, Mackenzie and Jensen; her siblings, David Merkel (Alexia Merkel), Ricky Merkel (Robin Merkel), Larry Merkel (Norma Merkel), Becky Hornsby (Thomas Hornsby), Donald Merkel (Eva Merkel), Charles Davis (Milly Hart), Roxie Goldsmith (Steve Goldsmith) and Julia Merkel; her pet Ryder; and her son Preston McNiel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
