He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Jackson Carrel and Norma Leona Carrel; and his siblings, Vernon, Bill Carrel and Juanita Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Carrel; his daughters, Daniela Chambless-Luedke, Melanie Carrel and Heike Nash; his grandchildren, Natalie Chambless, Samarra Carrel and Clay Chambless; and his sisters, Betty McNeal, Mildred Varvell, Joyce Carrel and Patricia Whitson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
