As we bid Norma Katherine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Norma Katherine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Cissell and Barney Cissell; her brother Bob Cissell; and her aunt Mary Lee Rutherford. She is survived by: her caregiver Wayne Lee Smith; her children, Katherine Ann Smith and Mark Wayne Smith (Angela); her sister-in-law Janet Forte; her niece Peggy Smith Youtz Cheverere; and her nephew Whitt Langford Smith (Jerrie). She is also survived by children; and by several cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rosemound Cemetery (3201 S 12th St, Waco, TX 76706).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Waco Historic Foundation in memory of Norma Smith.
