He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Runkle and Allie Runkle; and his siblings, Flo Bruggerman, Dean Runkle, Fayne Flood, Evelyn Fahringer and Delores Harlacher.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Runkle; his sons, Danny Standefer (Michele) and Barry Johnson (Christy); his grandchildren, Shawn Johnson (Yasmin), Meghan Schmidt (Paul), Hannah Suchma (Charles) and Jamie Johnson (Dylan); his great grandchildren, Rylynn Johnson, Harley Rose Johnson, Emma Johnson and Owen Johnson; and his sisters, Lois Runkle and Yvonne Tome.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at the Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery (1600 Porter Rd, Conroe, TX 77301).
