He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Smith and Vera Smith (Wampler); and his siblings, James Smith, Linda Malone and Ronda (Johnny Holcomb).
He is survived by: his former wife Catherine Bordovsky; his wife Cathy Smith; his children, Cathy Jo Kraemer (Michael), Sandy Kidwell (Mike) and Charles Smith; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Jonathan Lawson, Heather, Royce Gross, Cody Kraemer, Caitlin Veselka, Gabby Veselka (Nolan Kaska), Bella Kidwell, Ashley, Lance, Torian, Bradley and Mikey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
