He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Stroud and Asa Stroud; his son Wendall Blake Stroud; his brother Wiley Stroud (Patsy); and his brothers-in-law, Dalton Conner, Gene Howard and Harold Hugdahl.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his daughters, Traci Waldschmidt (Mark) of Hewitt and Staci Hutyra (Steve); his grandchildren, Kylar Thompson, Kelci Waldschmidt, Libby Hutyra and Parker Hutyra; his siblings, A. J. Stroud (Doris), Margie Hugdahl of Arlington and Barbara Conner of Lufkin; and his friends, John and Janie Pavelka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
