It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosa Emma Marquez of Hereford, Texas, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isidoro Pallares and Anita Valenzuela Pallares; her husband Salvador Marquez B.; and her son Luis Raul Marquez. She is survived by: her children, Marcos Marquez (Sulema) of Hereford, Salvador Marquez Jr. of Hereford, Maria Salazar of Hereford, Oscar Marquez (Anna) of Amarillo and Roberto Marquez (Denise) of Amarillo; and her sisters, Reyes, Guadalupe, Maria, Luisa and Cleofas. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors (601 Main St, Hereford, TX 79045). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the San Jose Church (735 Brevard St, Hereford, TX 79045).
