She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Garcia and Anita Garcia (Fernandez); her children, Anna Maria Balboa and Oscar Balboa; and her siblings, Juanita Garcia of Harlingen, Texas., Guadalupe Barnhart, Elida Garza and Raulito Garcia.
She is survived by: her children, Reyes Cano, Jr. (Daphne) of San Antonio, Texas, Mary Jane Cano (Efrain) of Hereford, Gloria Aguilar (Arnold) of Brighton and Patricia Cano of Austin, Texas; and her siblings, Eva Rodriguez (Guillermo) of Mercedes, Esther Villarreal of Harlingen, Gloria Sepulveda (Martin) of McAllen, Texas and Luis Garcia of Harlingen, Texas.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A rosary was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (735 Brevard St, Hereford, TX 79045).
