He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Juan Salazar and Carmen Salazar (Castillo); his wife Juana Reyes of Salazar; his children, Saul Salazar (Luz Elva) of Hereford, Sylvia I. Salazar of Dallas, Juan Salazar Reyes (Betty) of Hereford, Norma E. Loya (Juan) of México and Sergio R. Salazar (Sylvia) of Hereford; and his siblings, Reyes Salazar (Manuela) of Mexico, Berta Estrada of Juárez, Mexico, Reynaldo, Luis, Hipolito, Andrés Salazar, Santana Gutierrez and María Ramos. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
