He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Tijerina and Tiofila Tijerina (Casanova); and his siblings, Jose Jr., Juan, Mario Tijerina and Adelina Galvan.
He is survived by: his wife Elsa Barrientez of Hereford, TX.; his children, Laura Bullard (Joshua) of Amarillo, TX., Irene Corona (Ramon) of Hereford, TX., Jessica Tijerina of Hereford, TX and Matthew Tijerina of Hereford, TX; and his siblings, Julian Tijerina of Amarillo, TX., Gilbert Tijerina (Melly), Fred Tijerina of Hereford, TX., Rosa Basaldua (Andres) of Hereford, TX., Grace Mendiola of Hereford, TX., Beanida Garza of Hereford, TX. and Maria Elena Villarreal (Francisco) of Michigan. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
