She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Schwertner and Veruna Schwertner (Jasek); her husband Erwin Bartels; her children, Sharon Duesterhaus (Tony) of Lake Ivie, Judy Phelps (Don) of Winters, Gary Bartels (Belinda) of Dawn, Donald Bartels of Hereford, Rick Bartels (Danielle) of Hereford, Darrell Bartels of Hereford and Bryan Bartels of Hereford; and her sister Mona Bryan of Lubbock. She was also cherished by twenty five grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren, and a host of other friends and relatives.
