With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erma M Hernandez of Hereford, Texas, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcelino Mitchell and Manuelita Mitchell; her husband Jose Angel Hernandez, Sr.; her daughter Debbie Puente; her son-in-law Roy Puente of Hereford; and her siblings, Eloy Mitchell, Gavino Mitchell, Ernest Mitchell, Manuel Mitchell, Lucario Mitchell, Benito Mitchell, Carmen Vera and Ramona Escalante.
She is survived by: her children, Macedonio Hernandez (Micky) of Amarillo, Jose Angel Hernandez, Jr. (Tangie) of Amarillo, Lupe Padilla (Michael) of Hereford, Rebecca Lindauer (Randy) of Hereford, Olga DeLaO (Juan) of Friona and Sally Ann Cooney (Michael) of Hereford; her siblings, Larry Mitchell (Sheila) of Bakersfield, Samuel Mitchell of Mosquero, Pasquala Martinez of Espanola, Margaret Eggert of Albuquerque and Victoria Sandoval (Gilbert) of Albuquerque; and her brother-in-law Vicente Guerreo (Yolanda) of Hereford. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mendez & Mullins Funeral Home (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Friona Cemetery (623 N Main St, Friona, TX 79035). A procession was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at the same location.
