It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eldon Fortenberry of Hereford, Texas, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robin Fortenberry and Ruth Fortenberry (Gill); and his sister Darlene Fortenberry. He is survived by: his wife Nelda Fortenberry (Vititow) of Hereford, Texas; his children, Stephanie Sanders (Roger) of Theodosia, Steve Fortenberry (Becky) of McKinney and David Fortenberry (Talley) of Plainview, Texas; his grandchildren, Monica Holcombe (Wade) of Wright, T. J. Sanders (Vanessa) of St. Louis, Stephen Fortenberry, Jr. (Kelli) of Forney, Tracy Cooney (Jason) of Conway, Hunter Fortenberry (Cari) of Plainview and Robyn Jackson (Terry) of Plainview, Texas; his great grandchildren, Danton (Katie), Kevin, Hallie, Lorelei, Christopher, Jack, Timothy Eldon, Simon, Everett and Amos; and his brother Durrel Fortenberry of Lockney, Texas.
