He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sion and Gertrude Alford (Garrison); and his sisters, Marie Thompson and Thelma Tapp. He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Alford of Hereford; his children, Vicki Wilson of Canyon, Early Alford (Millie) of Hereford, Texas, Carla Purcella (Steve) of Hereford, Texas and Darla Bryant (Guy) of Hereford, Texas; his grandchildren, Johna Myers, Pecos Alford (Justine), Kip Kendrick, Rodey Wilson (Brooke), Amanda Garcia (Jordan), Aryn Dickerson (Grant), Kayli Tisdale (Zane), Allee Purcella and Tell Bryant; his great grandchildren, Rylee, Rio Wilson, Cooper Myers, Lilly, Asher Tisdale, Sterling, Steele, Stranton Garcia, Brazos, Sonora Alford and Ryan Dickerson; and his siblings, John Alford of Granbury and Juanita Reed of Lubbock. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl was an active volunteer for Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Spicer Gripp, where he was the first recipient to receive the Top Hand Award.
