He is survived by: his spouse Merlene Erskine; his children, Stephen Lyde of Fort Worth, Texas, Jeannie Herring of Henrietta, Kathy Lyde of Henrietta, Vickie Whitehead of Henrietta and Toni Lyde of Henrietta; and his siblings, Sue Lyde of Henrietta, Katherine Lindsey of Farris, Texas and Robert Lyde of Houston, Texas.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
