He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Lyde and Mildred Lyde (Randolph); his wife Cecile; and his siblings, Wanda Mundt, Roosty Hodges, Lynn Hodges, Homer Lee Hodges and Les Lyde.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Sims (Denny) of Henrietta, Tony of Henrietta, Brian of Henrietta and Doug Hodges of Henrietta; and his siblings, Sue Lyde of Henrietta, Katherine Lindsey of Farris, Roy Lyde of Henrietta, Luther Lyde of Stanfield and Robert Lyde of Houston. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
