He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Choate and Ester Faye Choate (Wagner); and his nephew Michael Olstad. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Choate of Henrietta; his children, Landis Felts (Robert) of Fort Worth and Todd Choate of Winters, Texas; his grandchildren, Macey Slayden (Jake), Lane Choate, Larkin Felts, Drayton Felts and Marlee Choate; his great grandchild Lillian Slayden; his siblings, Doyle Choate (Glenda) of San Antonio, Texas and Janice Taylor of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his nieces and nephews, Dale Olstad, Rhonda Eldridge and Randy Choate.
