She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Russell and Lela Creekmore; and her siblings, Willard Russell, Gerald Russell and Wanda Wagner.
She is survived by: her husband David W. Gates; her children, Jerry Gates, Ann Fiser and David E. Gates; her daughter-in-law Candice Gates; her daughter Julie Lenderman; and her son-in-law Don Lenderman. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
