He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Dorsey and Velma Dorsey (Mezzell); his stepfather Odis Nix; his daughter Christy Denese Dorsey; his brothers, Harold Nichols, Jimmy Dorsey (Mary Jane Dorsey) and David Earl Dorsey; and his sister-in-law Jane Holcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Tompkins Dorsey of Henderson; his sons, Tracy Dorsey (Carol) of Kilgore, Kevin Dorsey (Vicky) of Arp and Michael Dorsey (Mevane) of Brachfield; his grandchildren, Courtney, Matt Barr, Katelynn Dorsey, Drew, Summer Dorsey, Beth Dorsey, Alden, Hannah Dorsey and Brittany Dorsey; his great grandchildren, Rhys Barr, RoseMary Dorsey, Corbin Dorsey, Xander Freeman, Levi Dorsey and Lindsey Dorsey; his sisters-in-law, Vernette Dorsey of Turnertown and Sarah Nichols of Missouri; and his niece Kitty Rock of Mt. Enterprise. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
