He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Roper and Blanche Roper (Hawes). He is survived by: his wife Sarah Bain Roper of Henderson; his children, Kevin Roper (Tina) of Henderson, Chris Roper (Jami) of Henderson and Kelly Wilson (Cliff) of Joinerville; and his sister Peggy Sproles of Henderson. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A committal service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Lakewood Memorial Park (1001 N Van Buren St, Henderson, TX 75652). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (204 N Marshall St, Henderson, TX 75652). A reception will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
