She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lige Gilbert and Hettie Gilbert (Read); her daughter Judy Carmichael; her grandson Steven Cook; her husband Robert Stites; her children, Pat Cook (Jimmy) of Pasadena and Donald Quarles (Carol) of Hempstead; her grandchildren, Lisa Micheletti (Charlie) of League City, Lance Cook (Julie) of Longview, Robert Quarles (Stacie) of Richmond, Donald Jr. Quarles (Julia) of Alexandria Virginia, Jeffrey Carmichael (Amber) of Chesapeake Virginia and Angela Quarles of Bastrop; her great grandchild Brittini Lovell; and her daughter-in-law Carol Quarles. She was also cherished by Seventeen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
