She was predeceased by: her parents, Susie Isom and George Isom; and her husband Arthur Leverett. She is survived by: her sons, Ronald E. Leverett (Earlene) and Michael E. Leverett (Valarie); her siblings, Lucille Hankton and Wardell Isom; her grandchildren, Lindsey Leverett-Higgins (Leon), Mason Leverett and Michaela Leverett; and her great grandchild Scarlett E. Markham. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Her mother, who battled Parkinson's disease with steadfast courage, and her father, who was her devoted caregiver, instilled in Juanita and her siblings a deep reverence for God and a thirst for knowledge.
