He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Nelson and Alvina Nelson; his sisters, Kay Weise and Audrey Quast; and his daughter Michelle Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Nelson; his children, Michael Nelson and Kelly Springer (Wayne); his brother King Nelson (Karen); his granddaughter Megan Avery (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Harper and Emma Avery. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
