He was predeceased by: his wife Emilie Meyers Maxey; his sons, Arthur Harold Maxey and Bryan Nabours; his sister Gay Lynn Heller; and his parents, Dixie Bell Ferguson Maxey and Henry Preston Maxey.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Procell (Ronny) of Bronson and Keith Nabours (Darlene) of Hemphill; his daughter-in-law Jennifer McDaniel Maxey of Pineland; his sister Janice Daniels of Beaumont; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Buttrey (Darrell) of Dickson, TN, Jena Edgar of Vidor, Mahala Maxey of Pineland, Taylor Nabours of Hemphill, Lindsey Suggs (Burney) of Lufkin, Conner Nabours (Aubrey) of Lufkin and Justin Roberts (Martina) of Spring; and his great grandchildren, Leah, Gracie, Avery, Brinlee Jo, Caylee, Conner, Riley and Newton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
