He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Tyler Smith and Bessie Slaughter-Smith; his son Robert "Bobby" Smith Jr.; and his brother Philmen Lee Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Smith of Hemphill, TX; his daughter Wendy Smith of Pasadena, TX; and his grandchildren, Brandy McDonald, Jeremiah Baggett, Joel Baggett, Rob "Bobby Dale" Smith and Bryan Smith. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and SPCA.
