He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rodney Arney and Madge Elise Tyer Arney; and his brothers, Michael Ervin Arney and Thomas Keith Arney. He is survived by: his wife Gaynell Arney of Hemphill; his children, James Rodney Arney, II (Juanita) of Hemphill, Matthew Keith Arney of Hemphill and Stephanie Lea Arney of White Oak, Texas; and his brother Steve Arney (Doris) of Hemphill. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
