He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Forey and Agnes Forey; his brother Ernest Forey; his sister-in-law Cora; his sister Elaine Gros (Andy); his sons, Kenneth Wayne Forey and David Earle Forey; his granddaughter Natalie Sims; and his daughter-in-law Norma Forey.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Marie Forey; his children, Leonard Forey (Hope), Richard Forey (Pattie) and Neysa Sims (Gary); his daughter-in-law Lori Forey; and his grandchildren, Leslie Harrison, Laura Forey, Sean Forey, Ryan Forey, Michael Carver, Josh Carver, Eric Sims, Rachel Hanna, Courtney Blankenship and Collin Weber (Jennifer). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (211 Hardy Ave, Nederland, TX 77627). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Oak Bluff Memorial Park (618 Block St, Port Neches, TX 77651).
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in James' honor the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2112 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, Texas 77627, or Sacred Heart Southern Missions, 6050 HWY 161, Walls, MS 38680.
