She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Mack Risinger and Bulah Hinton Risinger; her husband James Truitt Chance; and her siblings, Mozell Stogdill, Cleo Self and Norris Risinger.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Truitt Chance (Carolyn) of Rosevine, David Jay Chance (Angie) of Hemphill and Dennis Ray Chance (Charlotte) of Pineland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Starr Funeral Home (510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Starr Funeral Home Chapel (510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at the Patroon Cemetery.
