It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arnold Melvin (Helotes, Texas), who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Taft Melvin and Rosa Bell Warren; and his son Ja'rel. He is survived by: his siblings, James "JT" Melvin, Margaret Melvin Ming, Coley Melvin, Ezzell Melvin, Jerome Melvin, Lilian Melvin Weeks, James Ray Melvin, Elizabeth Melvin Finerson and Ronnie Melvin; his wife Deborah Melvin; and his children, Jared Melvin and Oneika "Nieke" Melvin. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Castle Ridge Mortuary North (10901 W. Loop 1604 North, San Antonio, TX 78023). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Life Christian Center (6610 W US Hwy 90, San Antonio, TX 78227). A committal service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
