With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Cantu Sr. of Hebbronville, Texas, born in Freer, Texas, who passed away on March 13, 2022 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Cantu and Pauline Ramirez; and his adoptive parents, Patricio Garcia and Susana Garcia. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Cantu Jr. (Connie) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Stephen Cantu (Melissa) of Santa Rosa, California, Gilbert P. Cantu (Alma) of Hebbronville, Texas, Ricardo D. Cantu (Noelia) of Freer, Texas, Adrian D. Cantu (Victoria) of Corpus Christi, Texas, JoAnn Massey of Freer, Texas, Daniella P. Cantu (Erik) of Freer, Texas and Liana A. Guzman (Trey) of London, England; and his siblings, Fernando Cantu, Sr., Teresa Olis, Rosario Lopez, Angie Adame, Martina Guajardo and Lily Garza. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
