She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ellison and Jessie Ellison; her husbands, Floyd Brunette and Frank Shenkir; her siblings, Malan Ellison (Claudie), Garvis Ellison, Eddice Watson (Bland), Lois Rabe (H. W.) and Helen Ellison; and her grandson Jeremy Knight.
She is survived by: her son Floyd Gaylon (Tanya) of Hearne; her brother Doyle (Nita Ellison) of Friendswood; her sister-in-law Helen Ellison of Cypress; her sister Geneva Mitchell of Boone Prairie; her daughter Juanice Knight (Shorty) of Franklin; her grandchildren, Zachary (Erin Shenkir), Jonathan (Gloria Shenkir), Kari (Matthew Rigney) and Lindsey (John Mitchell); her great grandchildren, Charles Shenkir, Julia, Jason Shenkir, Eva, Caleb, Samuel, Julianne Rigney, Carson, Asher and June Mitchell; and also Frank.
In lieu of flowers, Phyllis asked that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Bryan, 3100 Cambridge Drive, Bryan, TX 77802, or a charity of your choice.
