Shirley Strickland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Strickland of Hawley, Texas, born in Haskell, Texas, who passed away on October 10, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alford and Nola Fay Fowler (Medford); her husband Buster Leroy Strickland, Jr.; and her sister Mary Cartwright. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Strickland of Austin, Lori Taylor (Rodney) of Hawley, Shannon Strickland (Kelly) of Hawley and Brother James (Bobbe Fowler) of Lake Whitney; her siblings-in-law, Vicki Medford (Danny), Jerry Strickland and Phillip Strickland; her grandchildren, Misty Mize (Chad), Roger Strickland (Amie), Stetson Taylor (Michelle), Stanton Taylor, Amanda Strickland and Kaity Strickland; her great grandchildren, Tyler Mize (Megan George), Wes Mize (Kaili), Whitney Smith (JT), Ashley Wicklund and Raylee Henson; her great great grandchildren, Emma Mize, Bonnie Mize, Amelia and Hank Smith; and her nephews, Rodney Amonett, Kendell Medford, Chris Medford, Garland Medford, Lou Cartwright, Greg Fowler, Fred Fowler, David Martin and Honorary Pallbearers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
