She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Lynch and Frank Lynch; and her brother Kevin. She is survived by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Fate; her daughter Jennifer; her granddaughter Bryana; her brothers, Terence and Gareth; her nephew Brendan; her niece Alana; her brother-in-law Mike; and also, Stacy and David.
An important personal goal, held back for two years due to the pandemic, came to fruition in August 2022, when Gilly became an American Citizen.
