It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Derbert D. Mooney Sr. (Hawkins, Texas), who passed away on September 14, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda N. Mooney (Kennedy) of Hawkins; his son Derbert Mooney, Jr.; his wife Eleta Taylor of Hawkins; his daughters, Denise Rickman (James) of Tuscaloosa, AL. and Lisa Owens (Bubba) of Hawkins; his grandchildren, Eric Rickman, Hollie Garrison, Lindsay Wilson (Jay-Ryan), Hunter Mooney (Kayla), Kayla Ziegler (Darrell), Jacob Mooney, Jessica Mooney and Kody DeWolfe; and also Jonathan Scott Mooney (Kim) of Big Sandy. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to: Hospice of East Texas or the Wounded Warrior Project.
